Ashley & Brian | Wedding Day Highlights

These guys were absolutely incredible! I think Ashley is my spirit animal with her love of all things music! She and Brian are perfect for each other! The opening scenes, they created them all on their own. I didn’t have to tell them to do anything, they just played around and loved on each other, and danced on Broad Street and it was amazing!  Check out their highlight video from their beautiful wedding at The Renaissance in downtown Richmond!

Welcome to Pretty In Ink Productions

Welcome to Pretty In Ink Productions. The 2016 wedding season is almost over! I’m steadily booking for 2017 so don’t forget to contact me soon!

In 2016, I started to add to my craft. I did more live music videos, more commercials and more promo videos than in past years. Pretty In Ink is expanding to offer ALL video services, from simple edits to elaborate and creative projects. Reach out to me today to discuss any and all video needs.

In the next few weeks and months, I’ll be adding ALL videos that I have EVER done to my website. I have hundreds to go. Some were posted directly to a clients YouTube or website and I never posted it to mine. So I have a lot of work cut out for me.

If you have a video request and don’t see a sample on my website, email me ( and chances are I have done something similar in the past and have samples. Please don’t be afraid to ask your questions or ask for a price quote!

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

So I’m Married Now!

Hey guys!! As many of you know, I recently got married. It’s been about 3 1/2 weeks and life is good 🙂 I’m still working on my wedding video so that I can share it with all of you so that is coming soon! But because it’s my own, it’s been put on the back burner for paying customers and clients 😦 I’m not happy about that either haha! BUT I don’t like missing deadlines and I love making my clients happy!

I do want to share with you all something that is very important to me. Because I’m a wedding videographer, I never doubted for a minute that I would have my wedding filmed. BUT, never did I realize the value of the video from the brides point of view. Our wedding was at 5:30pm and by 10pm it was over and we were on to the after party. It was a whirlwind day that looking back, I barely remember. I was so excited (and stressed and nervous) that it just went by so freaking fast! My husband wrote his own vows, but being the type of man he is, never wrote them down. Without video, I wouldn’t be able to re-live the moments that flew by, I wouldn’t be able to see my son and my husband hanging out all day while I was getting ready, I wouldn’t have the vows…they would have been lost forever. I wouldn’t have those special moments between my father and I during our dance together. I wouldn’t have been able to see the absolute joy in my face as I looked at my future husband for the first time on the beach.

I’ve always realized the value in video, hence why I do it. But never the value in what I missed during the day that I now have forever. I can watch those moments over and over and spend time in the moment instead of vaguely remembering the songs that were played or the jokes and laughter throughout the day. I have film of my kids and I dancing the night away, of my dad requesting his favorite songs and of my friends and I screaming (singing?!) to Journey as loud as we could. These are moments I’ll cherish forever and I can do that because I have the video.

So yes video is important. Not just because it’s what I do and I enjoy making a living doing it. But because I’ll always appreciate and love re-watching the moments. Even years from now when older relatives are gone and my children are grown, I have this moment in time forever. So when you look at wedding video as an option, don’t. Look at it as a moment in time caught forever. Don’t look at the cost and think, wow that’s a lot of money, is it worth it. Because yes, yes it is. I would have paid every last dime for a video had I not had my assistant shoot it. And it would have been worth every last dime.
